End May 31, 2025?

Attention all CDM, CFPPs! If your three-year recertification period ends on May 31, 2025, please be on the lookout for important emails from CBDM. These emails will contain reminders about your Continuing Education (CE) hours and details on CE audit selection.
  • If you have met all CE requirements by the deadline, you may be randomly selected for a CE Audit. Notifications of CE Audit selection will be sent via email on June 2, 2025, to the address on file in your ANFP record. Those selected must complete all necessary steps to pass the CE Audit. For those not selected, your next recertification period will begin promptly on June 1.
  • If your certification is active and you have reported more than 0.5 CE but less than 45.0 CE by May 31, 2025, you will automatically enter the CE Audit process and will be required to pass the CE Audit to remain actively certified. You will be notified by email on June 2, 2025, and will be provided the necessary steps to remain in audit.
  • If you have not submitted any CE hours by the end of your recertification cycle, your certification will be terminated. To regain certification, you will need to qualify under a current pathway of eligibility, submit an exam application with fees, and retest.

New Exam Content Outline Launched
March 1, 2025

2024 was a busy year for the CDM, CFPP Credentialing Exam. The Job Analysis Survey, which CDM, CFPPs completed last year, resulted in a new Exam Content Outline. This was published in January 2025 and is the basis for the new CDM, CFPP Credentialing Exam that launched on March 1, 2025. This process takes place every five years and ensures that the exam reflects current practice.

Access the Outline

The exam content outline is the basis for many other things as well. The CDM, CFPP Scope of Practice is aligned with the domain areas in the outline, and the ANFP Approved Training Program uses this outline as a basis for the curriculum. The ANFP Professional Development department develops educational products, activities and live meetings utilizes this outline to cover all the competencies under each domain, and the CBDM Prior Approval program does the same.

Both the Scope of Practice and the Practice Standards will be updated to reflect the 2025 Exam Content Outline in the coming months. Stay tuned!

CE Reporting: Skip the Duplicates, Keep it Fresh!

When selecting CE activities, focus on new learning opportunities rather than repeating past programs. Always check your current and past CE transcripts on your My Certification page. This helps you track your progress and avoid submitting duplicate CE activities—since each program only counts once!

Remember, this rule applies not just to your current three-year recertification period but across the entire span of your certification.

A quick tip: Always include your name and completion date on your certificate before uploading—it’s a small step that makes a big difference!

Stay organized, keep learning, and keep your certification on track!
