Your Personalized Learning
Plan Just Got Better

Each new recertification cycle begins with two important steps: reviewing and accepting the CDM, CFPP Code of Ethics and completing the Self-Assessment. More than a recertification requirement, the Self-Assessment helps you reflect on your strengths, identify areas for growth, and focus your continuing education on the skills and knowledge that matter most to your professional development.

Based on your responses, a personalized Learning Plan is automatically generated to help guide your continuing education activities. The recently enhanced Learning Plan provides more detailed recommendations, identifying competencies where additional learning may be beneficial and helping you focus your CE efforts where they can have the greatest impact.

Your Learning Plan is unique to you and can serve as a valuable roadmap throughout your recertification cycle. Whether you are building on existing strengths, preparing for new responsibilities, or exploring a different area of practice, the plan helps you make informed decisions about your professional development. For competencies where you indicate additional learning is needed, the Learning Plan now links directly to Find CE, making it easy to search for ANFP and CBDM Prior Approved programs aligned with your specific learning needs and competency areas.

Taking a few minutes to complete your Self-Assessment today can help guide your continuing education goals for tomorrow. If you've already completed your Self-Assessment, your Learning Plan has been automatically updated and is available on your My Certification page.

  • Make sure your name and the course completion date appear on every certificate of completion. Missing this information is the number one reason CE documentation is considered incomplete.

  • Keep your CE records up to date throughout your recertification cycle. Regular review and reporting can make the recertification process smoother and help ensure all of your earned credits are properly documented.

CE Reporting FAQs

Q: How do I know if my CE credit was received?
A: Review your CE Transcript through your My Certification page to verify that your credit has been posted.

Q: When should I report my CE activities?
A: Report CE activities as they are completed. Keeping your records current throughout your recertification cycle makes recertification easier and helps ensure all credits are properly documented. Report your CE using the ANFP mobile app – take a picture of your certificate and enter the required information.

Q: What if I can't find my Certificate of Completion?
A: Contact the education provider to obtain a replacement certificate before reporting your CE activity. All required documentation must be uploaded to be able to report your program.

Q: Where can I view my CE Transcript?
A: Log in to your ANFP account and select My Certification from the red navigation bar to access and review your CE Transcript. You can also access your previous certification cycle transcript on this page.

Q: Do I need to report CE from ANFP education programs?
A: No. ANFP automatically reports CE credit for ANFP education programs once all program requirements have been completed. Review your CE Transcript to verify all credit has been posted.

Q: Can I get CE credit for a program previously attended and reported?
A: No, you cannot. Once CE hours have been earned for a specific program, the program cannot be resubmitted for credit again, regardless of whether it is in a subsequent certification period. Credit can only be earned once for any given program. If a program is taught multiple times/dates, it can be reported only once.
