Top 10 Tips to Maintain Your CDM®, CFPP® Credential

1. Confirm that your contact information is accurate and current in your ANFP record. Use a personal e-mail address to prevent messages from ANFP and CBDM being marked as spam.

2. Know when your three-year recertification period ends. Access the My Certification page of your ANFP record to download/view your CE summary for the current certification cycle, view/update your learning plan, and report new CE.

3. Review the CBDM Guide to Maintaining Your CDM®, CFPP® Credential for everything you need to know about recertification requirements and related policy.

4. View the CE Self-Reporting video tutorial for information about submitting CE activities and uploading the required documentation for each CE activity.

5. Complete your Self-Assessment Tool as soon as your new recertification period starts so you can begin reporting your CE as you earn it.

6. Download the new ANFP App available Summer 2024 so you can quickly update your contact information, report CE and upload required documentation, and more, all from your phone!

7. Pace yourself! Try to complete and report 15 CE hours annually for each of the three years in your recertification period, be proactive, and do not leave it all until the end.

8. Utilize ANFP's Find CE tool to search for CE options that meet your competency level and topic needs.

9. Review the CE Audit FAQ for answers to questions that you may have about the CE audit. Keep your credential active by paying your annual certification fees by August 31.
